Each Reki artwork is handcrafted from surplus leather and mixed media. Carefully selected leather remnants, each carrying their own patina and history, are transformed through layers of leather dye and mixed media. The process preserves the individuality of every fragment while creating
a rich, tactile surface that is unique to each artwork.
Rather than concealing the natural character of the leather, the collection celebrates it. Marks, scars and subtle tonal variations become an essential part of each composition, giving every artwork its own distinct character.

The Process
Every REKI artwork is created over several weeks through a slow, layered process. Carefully selected surplus leather is stitched together before multiple layers of leather dye and mixed media are applied by hand. Each layer is allowed to cure before the next is added, followed by repeated sanding and surface refinement. This gradual process creates the depth, texture and tactile quality that define every REKI artwork.
