IBU is inspired by the Japanese word Ibuki – breath, the breath of life. A work that carries the feeling of a quiet breath.
IBU explores how a flat textile can take on a three-dimensional form through simple stitching. Soft reliefs create shadows, depth and a subtle sense of volume, allowing light to become an active part of the work.
Its expression shifts with the changing light throughout the day, highlighting the tactile nature of the fabric.

Custom dimensions are possible up to 60 × 200 cm. The placement, rhythm and size of the textile reliefs can be customised. The hanging system can also be adapted to suit the space, with options such as a long metal or wooden rod.
