The work explores the dimensions between foreground and background, as well as the space in between. It plays with raised shadows and the lightness that the cuts bring to an otherwise heavy material. At the same time, the piece is a graphic work that reflects the clean visual language of architecture and reveals the time and care invested in its craftsmanship. It is created from colored leather remnants, which vary in structure and thus create a beautifully vibrant dark brown surface. The interplay between the different colors, some mat, some shiny, is captivating and adds a sense of lift and vitality to the piece.
