Draped artwork
Draped explores the tension between structure and softness through leather and suede. Each fold is carefully considered and manipulated to create a calm, tactile surface — nothing is placed by coincidence.
The folds create shifting shadows and depth, allowing the material to become almost sculptural. Each work is made to honour the natural character of the leather or suede while creating a warm, tactile presence within the space.
How to commission a Draped artwork
Each Draped artwork is made to commission and created specifically for your space.
Together we define the dimensions, material, colour and overall composition. The work is then handcrafted in either leather or suede, with the folds and draping developed individually for each piece.
The natural character of the material becomes an integral part of the work, making every Draped piece unique.
Draped is created in two expressions:
Draped Largo and Draped Grave.
Draped Largo
Flowing folds contained within the frame.
Draped Grave
Folds extending beyond the frame, creating
a heavier expression.
Material & Colour
Draped is created in either leather or suede.
Leather has a more defined and raw expression, bringing depth, character and a refined presence to the room.
Suede has a softer, more tactile surface, creating a quieter
and more enveloping expression.
Each material responds differently to light, allowing the folds and relief to shift throughout the day.
Specific colours and tones can be discussed as part of the commission.
